Baby Sensory Cleanse and Protect Nappy Balm Review

We were sent a pot of the Baby Sensory Cleanse and Protect Nappy Balm to review. I am always keen to try natural products as we all suffer from sensitive skin and have to be cautious over what we use, especially with C who has eczema that flares up easily.

What we thought:
Firstly, I love the ingredients list for the Baby Sensory Cleanse and Protect Nappy Balm, no nasties here, just natural oils and beeswax. I have to admit when I tested the product on my hand I was unsure about it, it felt like vaseline so I didn’t know what it would be like to apply to little bottoms. But I was pleasantly surprised, it is easy to apply and you don’t need to use very much, it provides a protective barrier which was useful as LissyLou was suffering with a touch of nappy rash but I was happy that the rash didn’t get worse and that the beeswax would due to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. After just one day her rash had improved. C normally screams the house down when he has to have nappy cream on but even when his bottom was really sore it didn’t aggravate it and he didn’t even murmur as I applied it!
But this balm isn’t just for nappy areas, R has what can only be described as ‘sand paper’ elbows, but one application of the Baby Sensory Cleanse and Protect Nappy Balm and his elbows were smooth and soft – amazing even expensive moisturisers don’t normally help there! I used it on a burn on my arm and it helped stop the burning feeling straight away and I kept using it and the burn seemed to heal really quickly.
The Baby Sensory Cleanse and Protect Nappy Balm retails at £5.99 and is available on their website. This is quite expensive compared to some big-name nappy creams but I think the tub will last a long time, it works and its all natural so you know its good for even sensitive skin!
